18th Amendment

The 18th Amendment effectively established the prohibition of alcoholic beverages in the United States by declaring illegal the production, transport, and sale of alcohol (though not the consumption or private possession).  South Dakota ratified the amendment March 20, 1918.

The amendment gave rise to several wooden boats used to run illegal alcohol from Canada and the Caribbean.  Those wooden boats inspired our Logo.

The 21st Amendment was ratified on December 5, 1933. It is unique among the 27 amendments of the U.S. Constitution for being the only one to repeal a prior amendment.

Lets celebrate the repeal of the 18th amendment on Saturday December 5th with your favorite beverage!
